Some people who liked my original Cross Bookmark were also looking for a smaller one so I created this Dainty Cross bookmark which is especially suitable for a small bible or prayer book.

If you would prefer a larger cross bookmark suitable for a bible you might prefer my original Cross Bookmark.

There is one design of cross with a choice of two different edgings and two different ways of adding cords and tassels.

Charts are provided as well as written instructions.

It would be possible to use the pattern to create a bookmark of a slightly larger size, but still smaller than my original pattern, by increasing the repeat on the arms. The penultimate photograph above shows how this would compare and the last photograph shows these two options next to my original Cross Bookmark, all made in #10 crochet cotton.

FORMAT: Charts are provided as well as written instructions.

USES: Only basic stitches.

YARN: #10 mercerised cotton thread.

SIZE: About 2ins (5cm) x 3ins (7.5cm). A larger version would be about 3ins (7.5cm) x 4ins (10cm).

There is a choice of two two PDF files (1.2M) each: one in UK and one in US crochet terms.

I include tutorials within my patterns for things that may be unfamiliar but I am also always willing to give help for any of them.
